Junhyoung Chung 정준형
First-year Ph.D. student, Department of Statistics
I am a first-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Statistics at UC Davis. Before coming here, I received my M.S. in Statistics at Seoul National University, advised by Prof. Gunwoong Park, and my B.S. in Statistics and B.A. in Economics from the same university.
I develop principled statistical methods that uncover essential structure in imperfect and complex data. My research connects optimal transport, graphical models, and robust statistical learning, with an emphasis on theoretical guarantees and practical applicability.
Research interests
More about my researchOptimal transport
Geometry-aware methods for aligning heterogeneous data and non-Euclidean structures.
Graphical models
